Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: t3h on May 16, 2005, 10:34:42 AM
Hello and well met!

We are looking for a composer, to make original orchestral music to a fantasy roleplaying game module. Interested? Read further!

A little about the project:
We are a bunch of guys from around europe and we are making a non-commercial expansion module for NWN (= Neverwinter Nights, more info at BioWare.com (http://nwn.bioware.com)). We are searching for a talented composer to compose a new score to the module. The more original music we can get, the better.

The ideal situation would be that you could provide us with all the music we need. We have many strong and emotional scenes which would require intense music and the ability to follow instructions (given by us). Don't worry, we're all nice guys :) We will need different kinds of orhestral music to fit the big scale of emotions we will have in the module (everything ranging from furious battle music to sweet summertime tunes) and we hope you would be our man (or woman).

Our module will be a 3-part saga, and some themes from Chapter 1 will be appearing in chapters 2 and 3 too. We would like to be able to keep the same composer in the later chapters also.

Unfortunately we cannot offer anything else but our gratitude and the name of composer in the credits. If you do not know what kind of music we are after, just listen to some of Jeremy Soule's fantasy stuff and you'll get the idea.

We don't conscider this module just as your normal, hack-and-slash dungeoncrawl-kinda module. We think this as a whole new game, because of the sheer amount of playability and complexity involved.

Further info:
Further information of the NWN custom-module "The Moonlight Path" can be attained from the official website (http://moonlightpath.org) (under construction). If you know how to use IRC, please come and visit us at #NWN.Project (http://irc://irc.quakenet.org/nwn.project) (click to connect) at the QuakeNet IRC server. If you are not adept in the ways if IRCing, use the Java-IRC on our site. One click and you will be chatting with us in real time! Amazing, is it not?

Setting & Location:[/b]
The adventure takes place in Forgotten Realms in the realm of Faern.
You can check the play-area (Chapter 1) by clicking here (http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y67/The-Moonlight-Path/Misc/nwn-map-2.jpg).

How to apply:
If you are still interested (and who would not be?), email me to t3h@moonlightpath.org!

Contacts:
If you have anything you'd like to ask us, please feel free to email me or come to our IRC channel.

I have totally forgotten about Jason's site and the forums....

Actually The Moonlight Path exists, but our webhost was hacked and thus we lost our sites and the functionality of the mail addresses given...

Those who might be interested in the mod, we are still alive and recruiting.
We also have heavy plans for Neverwinter Nights 2.

I am the project founder and the one who keeps it all running mostly.
If you have questions or whatever to send mail for, do send them to
weltanschlauung@gmail.com . I shall reply as soon as I can.
If you wish to have any material seen, ask me directly, as we got no websites nor forums online anymore, due to many a reasons.

Thanks in advance,
Markus.

PS: Those who use IRC come and join us on #NWN.project channel on quakenet server.

Hello Mathazzar, are you the composer for this project?

If so, please provide more details, I am eager to hear more about the project's development. (http://forums.samods.org/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

I had wondered if the project were still developing, as I had not heard anything for quite some time. (http://forums.samods.org/html/emoticons/saint.gif)

Hello hello!

Yes I am the composer for this project, new to the site and fairly young for a composer I guess (sweet...15).

This project is very much alive and is slated for a June release date as far as I'm aware. I have been busily working on the music and will hopefully be able to complete everything within the given time period :).

Everything's looking promising and if you listen to the piece I've linked to in my previous post then you can get an idea of what the mod's going to sound like in terms of music; hopefully you like it, I know Markus does :P

I'm looking forward to hanging around here more often and I hope that my music will attract some attention, I want this to be my career :) Until then though, keep an eye on this project, good stuff being worked on in here ;)

Hi there. (http://forums.samods.org/html/emoticons/smile.gif)

I'll check out your music file soon and let you know what I think. (http://forums.samods.org/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

When the project is released, is there any chance of releasing the entire soundtrack online somewhere? Specifically, if you could get it perhaps hosted on the project website, so that we can link to the specific files directly?

Anyway, it's great to have you onboard. Welcome to the site. (http://forums.samods.org/html/emoticons/grin.gif)

Thanks for the warm welcome, I'm looking forward to working around here!

Hail and well met everyone!
Even once in a while I must visit here as well, I tend to
forget this place all the time... busy life is a killer when it comes
to memorizing things frequently...

I have some pretty extensive plans for all the custom-content
this project has from the team itself. I try to keep everyone of you
updated of all my endeavors.

Mathazzar indeed is a resourceful person and truly a musical
genious. He has provided me with awesome samples of his skills
and a full piece for the module already which was just the music
I need for the module ;) .

Our team has had a huge change, people have withdrawn, others
have replaced them and we have grown with our skills quite alot.
I could post later on some stuff here of the mod itself, screens and other material as well, so that people can get a feel of what it seems like.

Oh and of course, we seek all the time even more artistic people for our team, was it voiceactors/actresses, 2D/3D-artists, composers, scripters, designers, everything one can think of. I am sure this project would serve as a great mention in anyone's portfolio ;) . We can never have enough people in the team, I assure you.

Stay tuned and all that!

Best of regards,
Markus Elo ~ Lead Designer // Founder ~

Hey there,

Can't wait to listen to your music, but I have a question . . . or request . . . or clarification, maybe?

Would it be possible to mirror the files on the Moonlight's web site at all? Just so that we can directly link to the file?

Please let me know if this is feasible or not. :)

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Melda on June 04, 2006, 01:02:18 AM
Okay, it's all good now!

I'm going into this intentionally blind . . . to see what my unguided impressions are.

My initial thoughts here follow:

The Moonlight Path Theme

I don't really know what this story is about, but for some reason 'Moonlight Path' seems appropriate for this track. Although, the music reminds me of pirate music, yarr.

Some nice shimmery moonlight kind of atmosphere in places.

And the noble melody at the end.

Triboar

Nice little small ensemble playing at the first, with the harp, flute, oboe and onwards. If this is town music, then I think it sets the mood well.

The style and instrumentation reminds me of some parts of Oblivion a bit.

Very pleasant. I could probably go to sleep to this. And I mean that in a good way. :)

There are some melodic progressions that travelled to different places that I was expecting. Keeps me on my sleepy toes. ;)

A Night in Triboar

I thought this would be a nocturne, but it seems more mysterious than I was expecting. The Triboar motif sleepily makes an appearance in a few places, not enough to be overdone. :)

Longsaddle

At first I thought this was relaxing riding music, but it's town music, so I guess I lose points for reading too literally into the name. ;)

Reminds me of song, as the melodic instrumental lines seem like they're singing to me.

Ooh, I like the diddle-diddle-diddle movement of the woodwind two-thirds of the way through the piece. And again at the end. I like that a lot.

Mornbryn's Shield

Whoa. Change of pace somewhat, from the previous tracks. Be there supernatural elements here? The synthy sounds seem to communicate that, however the bassoon seems kind of humourous (then again, bassoons are hard-pressed to get away from that stereotype).

March Introduction

Boom! Dum dum! I like that the instruments sound far off, allowing them to 'mix' in the 'air', rather than coming straight out of the speakers as separate tracks.

Battle Theme

Aha! Now this is it! Fight time. :)

I like the offbeat violin passages. Oho -- menacing low brass.

This I like muchly. The only problem I have is the repeated low-ish notes have no variance in intensity: they're more machine-gun-like than players would be. Unless that's the effect you're going for, I would think of varying the velocity of each of those notes somewhat.

But yes, this strikes me as the most exciting track of the lot. Well, being a battle and all. ;)

I like that the ensemble is not all doing exactly the same thing all through, and that the woodwind comment on the action at intermitent points, rather than being part of the mass of sound.

And there's that awesome du-du-doo-di-da violin part again.

Very good!

Overall, I'm disappointed that I won't be able to hear this in-game (since I don't own the game), but I like what I've heard so far.

So make sure you post updates! :)

"So Marius, at last I find you" ;)

Title: The Moonlight Path - Tragedy?
Post by: Markus on August 07, 2006, 01:31:14 PM
Ok, let's clear things out a little.

It seems, truly unfortunately indeed, that Marius has left the project...
or something. For I haven't had any contact in him for so long a time,
which is truly devastating.
I am unsure as to what has happened, but I sure hope he reaches
us back from wherever in the Oblivion he is. A man of that caliber is
a MUST for a project like this.

But so far it seems that I need to find a new/another composer.
If Marius returns when I have gotten a new person to composer music,
it only makes things bettert, for then we have two awesome composers working on the project, only widening the musical experience ;) .

The project, by the way, is alive and kicking, regardless of all the
nuisances, bad things and tough moments lived through. We got
some pretty immensive and splendorous contacts to work on with
and they are helping the project flowing on and on with tremendous
speed.

So, if anyone here on Jason's forums is interested in serious
composing and creating an astounding portfolio for her/himself,
then write to me at weltanschlauung@gmail.com  (I know, I got
the weirdest of names, but it didn't accept my name as my mail,
not by any chance...)

- Markus
Lead Designer // Founder

PS: And thank you Melda for the supportive comments
regarding to the music and how they sound like :) . They are truly inspiring themes and I have been very lucky to have worked with a guy
like Marius in collaboration.

BUT

Let it be known that I am quite seriously alive and here and working on this project so all is not lost. I will post updates as soon as I have them.

Hrm, those instrument samples sound fairly good . . . the only criticism I can think of firstly is that the string runs sound a bit keyboard/pianoish. They don't sound quite like stringed instruments playing them. Buggers me how to fix that, though.

Also, would it be possible to randomly adjust the velocity/attacks (humanise?) the repeated flute notes, so that they're more varied between them?

Other than that, it sounds good. :)

The percussion seems more acoustic than I'm used to hearing . . . that being a good thing. :P

Feel free to share more. =)

Hi!

Sorry for the pause in my updating, I had some new projects come up and had some work to do on those as well. I offer for your listening pleasure an updated version of the main theme song; which I re-did to improve upon it, as well as that dungeon theme.

Please enjoy!

Theme Song Version 2
Very nice. Note that I haven't listened to the original version for quite some time, so I won't be able to do a Compare and Contrast.

But it sounds very nice. I can hear this as title music, and cinematic music and/or trailer soundtrack.

I like the noble theme that runs throughout it. :)

Dungeon Theme 1
Mmm, be this extended techinques I hear? Playing with harmonics?

Effective for creepy dungeons, I think.

Hmm, after a while it starts to sound a bit like a string section tuning up, with the idea getting old after a minute or two. Then again, I haven't heard it in the context of the game dungeon, so take my comments as uninformed. :P

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Markus on September 09, 2006, 04:14:54 AM
Aye, indeed I am most impressed with the new Theme version,
it has more musical aspects and the overall feel of it - when compared
to the older version - increased hell of a lot!!
Truly impressive and truly a good way up in composing something
epic and dramatic.

Melda, hahah, yeah it does sound like tuning up the cello.
The cello played in the song is actually played by me :D .
It's totally randomized, the bits and pieces Mathazzar took from
an almost 10 minutes of such distortive noises and "melodies".

It tend to play around with the cello, creating something disturbingly
chaotic and distortive. It's fun and I learn alot from it =) .
It's like exploring through the sound-scape the instrument has,
learning to listen and play out something different once in a while.
It's really efficient, though the musical aspect of the distortive "songs"
are naught, in a way. But I like them, chaotic as I am myself ;) .

It was interesting to hear that out as Mathazzar's version and enhancement. The sadistic use of echo in the piece brings even more
disturbing effect to it, ha ha har.

Expext to hear and see something great in the upcoming weeks!!

- Markus.

Oh yes, a lot has happened, despite the fact that both of
us seem to forget this Forum and give regular updates.

As you can see, Mathazzar has gone mad with composing,
providing us with ever-so great melodies and songs.

As for the project itself, it has become so very immense,
evermore full of intrigue and twisted plots, dark atmosphere
and storyline that gets oh-so-exquisite. For I too have gone mad
with the storyline and polishing up everything we got so far.

And now that Neverwinter Nights 2 has shipped, all I need is
to play it through, observe the world, the possibilities and begin
the immense conversion-process from the orginal NWN to NWN2
edition, to make the world even more vivid than what it was before.

I got some pretty cool things on the background, but I shall reveal
them all when the time is right.

We still need to work on those homepages...I don't really
know how on earth we are so slow in making them, it
can't be THAT hard. Shame on us.

But we fare well and we expect alot from the project.
Hopefully people are still interested and has the patience
to wait for us to get to the end of the path; on our Moonlight
Path
!!!

And the Official The Moonlight Path poster has been finally done!
Available also in 5000x4000 Resolution - equals A3 sized paper -
, we thought we could put it for sale with a minimal sum of /$ for
those who would like to get a copy for themselves :). For we can
get it printed on a high quality poster with a professional printing
machine. It's good to have friends and contacts aplenty ;).

Any support is welcome  for a huge indie project such as this ;P.

We are also working on a brand new website layout, thus we didn't include
the website to the poster yet. But it will be included when we know what
domain/host we are going to get.

Also other promotional art for The Moonlight Project is available to view,
scroll on down to see what it is! 3D-art by our other finnish talent, Antti Rantanen who recently joined the Horde to bring new dimensions to
the game's art! We welcomed him with outstreched hands.

Just to go along with that, I'm working on a new version of the main theme. Here's what I have so far:

Now it sure is quiet around here....

Let's add up some steam then!

------------------------------------

I rewrote some of the stuff and add a plot-summary
sort of a description here:

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=618722#post618722

And on top of that, I put the unofficial/tech trailer of The Moonlight Path
to googlevideo, which can be viewed from

If you have questions, ask them either here or preferably send
them over to weltanschlauung@gmail.com

Title: THE MOONLIGHT PATH - Neverwinter Nights 2 version - Update
Post by: Markus on July 08, 2007, 03:06:21 PM
Despite the fact that these forums seems as dead as my grand-father,
I still linger to spew some life here, damn it!!

As we are currently converting the whole module to
Neverwinter Nights 2 version, I thought of posting few
screens of an area quickly made, just to test how the new
toolset works and looks like!

Check them out!

http://www.conceptart.org/forums/showthread.php?p=1380116#post1380116

If this doesn't convince you as to how beautiful and awesome
we can get the module with this new supreme toolset, I just wonder
what hits you people ;D .

Well well, this is looking promising. Some very nice scenes there - it's looking to be a good project =)
And yes...it has been somewhat quiet here, I have noticed. I check the board fairly often but I haven't really seen anyone around recently...

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Markus on July 10, 2007, 03:17:32 PM
Aye, thank you Steven...and yeah, I really wonder, what just
happened in here all of the sudden. I mean, why everyone just
vanished to thin air and nobody's posting anything here!?

It's odd.... and no sign of Jason's scores that were meant to
be done through the competition that was here ages ago O_o ...
I hope things stabilize here, since this was an awesome forum
way back, especially when the whole thing was made, people
were in flames!!

And now it's all dead...a pity, really.

But anyway, I will keep posting updates here as I see fit
and hope people take some interest, or at least cheer us on
our endeavor, hahah.

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Melda on July 14, 2007, 09:05:57 PM
I think everything went quiet because Jason got incredibly busy with work, and I got a fulltime job. So the main person we're here for is suddenly posting less, and his appointed 'talk to the members' person (me) mostly vanished too, since I was trying to keep track of spambots to make sure they don't invade the site.

Things should improve soon, though, at least on the spambot front . . . I've given Jason instructions on how to upgrade the forum engine. He just has to talk with his ISP and do it. That will free me up enough to post on here more. I can't speak for Jason's free time though --- I have no idea when he'll be free to post.

Thanks for the update Melda! =)
Though it seems like even more than that, for the reason of general quietness...I mean, I haven't heard from any of the other mod people recently at all. And I think people disappeared from that SAMods place as well for some reason...very odd.

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Melda on July 14, 2007, 09:18:59 PM
I'm not sure why everyone else went quiet around here, but Samods officially went to hell. The old leader of the site went megalomaniac and started being a dumbass dictator, so a lot of genuine modders left the site.

Post by: Steven on July 14, 2007, 09:22:43 PM
Ah, I did get some sort of PM message about that on that board...though I still didn't really know what was going on there. Ok. Though yeah, it still remains the case that everyone went quiet here...well, in any case, it's good to see this project is remaining updated.

Thank you for informing, Melda, much appreciated :)

But yeah, I agree with Steven, that why people just vanished
and posted nothing regarding to their own projects, compositions,
mods or anything.... how very odd.

Aye, SAmods had some issues with the leader, I know...
Now they agreed perhaps to help me out, but haven't heard
anything from them for ~3weeks, hahah. So I think that's it for
that help :D ...

But I will keep this thread alive, at least, so something actually happens
on these forums =) .

Meanwhile, check few updates from here, screens, descriptions,
and a small Dev. Diary I  ;)

This project is looking wonderful, I must say. Nice screenshots. And I can always keep my hopes up that since it's Forgotten Realms, Artemis Entreri could be round the corner...xD
At the moment I only have NeverWinter Nights 1, but I plan on getting 2 at some point. Oh, and should you ever be in need of my services be sure to give me a shout...though seeing as you already have a musician and artwork, I doubt I'd be of much use. Still, the offer stands. =)

I am much obliged by your comments, Steven, thank you aplenty!!
Hahah, aye, Artemis might be around, suren to plot dark things
upon people ;) .

NWN2 is awesome, though requires quit alot from the PC, but
sure worth it, I strongly recommend it !!

Sure, we got people in the team, but more is welcome!
If I remember correctly, you were a composer yourself?
If so, please do give me some samples of your work and
anything else you find yourself adept with :) !!

Since it's a long and a story in 6 parts, we have need for many
talented people, were they on the same field or not :) .

And yeah, the screenshots indeed are mere test-areas, just
to learn the toolset and see what I can do with it ;)

Thank you for the interest, Steven!!

Cool =D
My work can be found on www.freewebs.com/filezupload
From there, there are links to other sections for my different projects as well as some of my miscellaneous work. The stuff I've written for Ansiria is what I expect would be specifically along the lines for this project, but feel free to check out any of my other work.
(Oh, you've gotten me really interested now. Artemis Entreri is my absolute favourite character, after all xD)

Mwahah, I will lure you to the dark congregation of the Moonlight
Path team by the name of Artemis Entreri, how malevolent of me,
buahaha ;D !!!

Ah yes, the link was also on your signature, how very blind I am...
Awesome music, Steven, simply awesome. I listened the miscellaneous
stuff, didn't yet have the chance of listening Ansiria works, but I shall soon!

I would be much appealed if you joined our artistic team, for you got
some really good potential in you and in your compositions, especially
the choral work is plain superb!!
You obviously can catch the mood and create appropriate atmospheres!
No less from a man who apparently is a fan of TAKU IWASAKI, who is
like on of the most incredible anime composers of all time.... though there
are plethora of others who are as awesome as he is, like Yoko Kanno, Kaoru Wada, Toshihiko Sahashi, just to name few =) .

But anyhow, if interested in joining our team and participating in
making a module which won't be left undone - I will personally
keep my word for that - , please do provide me with your mail address,
to which I can send the project's Newsletters to! They will keep all
the participants in track of what's going on in the module.

And if you use MSN, feel free to add me
icarasacht@hotmail.com

And my personal mail for mod-related stuff indeed is
weltanschlauung@gmail.com

Well, me and Markus had a chat on MSN, and I am indeed most interested in helping out with this project =)
I have composed a piece of music for it, though it is yet to be decided exactly where it shall occur in the game. Nontheless, it can be found on
www.freewebs.com/filezupload3
It is currently simply entitled 'track1'.

Title: The Moonlight Path - Neverwinter Nights 2 version - Update
Post by: Markus on August 07, 2007, 10:57:10 PM
Aye, it's great to get even more new talents to the group.
Thank you for joining in, Steven! We are all much obliged
of the new things and twists you bring for us : )

The music sounds fantastic and inspires me with even
more new ideas!

About the mod at the moment:

We are having certain Toolset and OS related issues going
on with the module, which means the making of the module
in its final version is delayed - again - , but we are working on
these issues to correct them. Shortly, it means that I can work
on with the areas, but the Toolset crashes immediately the module/areas
when I try to reopen them, and this is most likely due to the reason
I got Win2000 as my OS at the moment.  The people on NWN2 IRC-channel told me that this might be the grand issue here. If not that
solely, it might be that some of the areas are sort of "too stuffed up".
But let's see what happens later on ;) .

Hey there. Just posting an update - my next track for this mod has been completed, and is on www.freewebs.com/filezupload3.
It is entitled 'The Insane One'.

Title: The Moonlight Path *Mathazzar*
Post by: Markus on August 26, 2007, 07:06:10 PM
Ha-HAA!

The problems are all solved and now the Toolset runs
smoothly, works correctly and all the areas are just
like they are now; lush and vivid.

And as you can see and hear, our newest addition
to the visually astounding mod is Steven with his awesome
work! Got to love what he is doing :)

I've put Steven to work on Part II related scores and let Marius
work mostly the rest of Part I related scores, as he is the lead
Composer for it.

The Moonlight Path
module is getting along nicely with new
areas all the time and new people joining us as well, such as
a scripter and a 2D-artist who is making highly detailed  portraits.
Awesome~.

We are all eagerly waiting for NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer
and what it brings along with it ;) .

Updates later on again!

- Markus.

Ok, another two tracks I have written for the mod, and which are now uploaded - a folk tune, and the daytime music for the city of Everlund. Additionally I am currently working on the secondary daytime track for Everlund which is to be played in the religious district of the city.

As you can see and hear, Steven is flaming up with his composing work
and it sure sounds awesome!! Listening the folk tune makes me want to
get to the medieval ages in a tavern and dance around drinking mead!

Right, an update on the music front. Two new tracks have now been added - 'Everlund day 2' and 'Battle'. Again, these are temporary names, for precise uses are yet to be decided in this stage. They'll be accordingly renamed when their exact purposes are decided.

Indeed!
Fabulously Steven (Lead composer for Part II) is scoring us
more and more music, which will be heard in-game when Part II
hits in. Which is after a long time ahead, since we are hard working
with part I at the moment.

And of course, our Lead-composer Marius/Mathazzar is
also scoring the remaining songs for Part I purposes as well.
Since he hasn't been around these forums, just wanted to clear
that out that he is still alive and working out his creative mind :)

We are currently working on with the BETA-stage
areas, polishing them up, starting to add scripts and
NPCs there, work the quests out and write vivid dialogue,
giving our voiceactors and actresses alike a chance to
work their throats again.

There's still polishing with the areas, but it's all coming
along nicely, oh yes.

We are collaborating with Steven with some cello solos and duets,
which I will perform myself and I am quite pleased and intriqued by
this new chance to develop my own skills and contributing some of
my own things  music-wise to the mod as well.

Can't really say when the BETA is unleashed, but if everything goes
smoothly from now on, it shouldn't take that long... we hope.

That's a small update for the only module alive on these forums, hahah.
And I intend to keep this thread alive 'till the bitter end, I will ;) .

Enjoy some new screens and enjoy some of our fabulous NPC Portraits, brethren!

Browsing around in these forums, and I must say, this looks like a great and really fun project.  Don't stop updating.  The music from both of you guys was great to listen to.

Steven, in the folk tune, is the percussion a taiko drum?  From what company?

Ah, it was actually a bohdran (just for the general folk effect), which is an Irish folk drum. It's an instrument I was already familiar with as my dad plays one. The particular samples I was using for it are some a friend gave me. He had some ethnic instrument samples for Reason that he converted for me. I'm afraid I can't remember the original name of the make though. In any case, I found it pretty useful for the composition. Oh, and thanks for your support of the mod! Markus is away moving house I believe at the moment, but things should resume more steadily when he's around again. =)

No problem, I'm enjoying what little conversation there is at the moment.  I thought that someone should advertise, but then again, I'd rather a few that know what they're doing over many that just fill up the forums with crap.  Heh.

It's a kind of FRAME DRUM.

Frame Drums are very popular with primative cultures around the world but especially western Europe.

A great example of some Frame Drums at work in a filmscore is Patrick Doyle's Henry V OST.

If you're looking for a great FRAME DRUM, then I would suggest checking out Quantum Leap RA or Flying Hand Percussion (dist through sonivox).

If you're looking for a great TAIKO DRUM, which is different, I suggest checking out TSAIKO DRUMS.

Heilza to all the new people and others as well \o .
Nice to see few new people lurking around these corners ;)

Not going to do much of any update information here now, but just
came to inform that we are STILL - yes, still waiting for our internet
to be installed on our apartment. It'll take maybe few more weeks untill we
get them running there, but worry not, for it'll be a blast of information when
we get at that point, I assure you ;) .

Much has been accomplished during my absence and things are looking really
good. I am sure our magnificent composers are flaming out new scores all the time,
of which even I am not avare of ;D .

Check back in a week or two, people. See you then again!

Just finished a new composition yesterday, it's called "Shape of the Sky". It uses a much more minimalistic form than any of the others I've written so far, and makes use of some new samples - some of which I made myself, including the staccato violins, viola and some of the drums =)

The music just keeps coming, as much is the new content and addons in the
module coming along just as well ;) . I think people who follow this forum, should
jump right in to our Moonlight Path forums:

http://www.alchemysticaudio.com/themoonlightpath/index.php

There's more information, content and stuff going on than here.
So do register in and share your thoughts, whether you are a stranger or not :) .

Also, I am keeping this musicbyjason thread alive, but I can't promise to remember
this place all the time, since TMP forums are top priority for me...surprisingly enough ;p .

I will add some new content to these forums as well at some point. Hope to see you
people around!

Thank you,

Thanks Melda, always appreciating your support!

Anyhow, I got some bad news, as my 3D-card has signed itself off, I can't concretely continue the module, but in two weeks
I will get money and purchase new one and continue with a rage of a monkey to work the module to the very extent of it!
At the moment I am making plot, character and dialog design all together, hoping to achieve the final outcome of all the content in
Part 1 and how they all evolve around the story!

When I got all updates ready, I will totally blast out a huge post here and on other sites with new screens, graphics, music, art, novel excerpts and what not!! So wait for some serious action ahead ;) .

That's all for now, hopefully this rouses up some interest even more around all communities and awesome people in them, especially
here!

The Moonlight Path - Announcement

Hail and well met everyone! It's time for some refreshingly great news, for I have been working hard with an upcoming ALPHA-Test for The Moonlight Path adventure! Though this ALPHA will be a separate story and has little reference to the actual TMP adventure ahead, it will give some insight of the adventure to come, how NPCs, quests, areas, etc. work. You might consider this more as a Tech-demo rather than a test. ALPHA will consist of two major City Areas, several indoor areas, voiceacting, original music by our composers, quests and stuff like that in a very atmospheric, lush and vivid City scenery.

I cannot give out any schedule as of when the ALPHA would be released, but if things go as planned, it shouldn't be too far away from release! It is all mostly dependant on our scriptor rather than on anything else.

Newsletter issue #20 will be soon sent forth and announced with a massive update coming along, as promised earlier, so more content should be shoving up. Just need to organize and think carefully what to release and all that.

Regards,
Markus E. - Lead Designer / Founder.

...Underneath the ice, something was moving; shades and figures, but he didn't know as to what they were.
Some of the smaller ponds were not frozen and he could gaze through the crystal clear water easily.
But still, beneath the waters surface, something stirred...in agony.

...he gazed deeper within the pond, reaching his hand carefully towards the moving shades underneath.
Soon, a small child's figure appeared from the depths and rose towards the now appalled man. Her skin, it seemed,
was pale and clothes torn so that she was almost naked. Several scars and stab-wounds were evident on the poor girl's desecrated,
even eviscerated body. He also noticed that her facial aspects were horrendous and that they shifted between natural and unreal.

...Whatever became the gruesome fate of these children, this was no way to leave this world.
A shrieking wail suddenly erupted in a chorus of torment from beneath the waters, forcing the man fall back in terror...

                                    - The Mirror Waters

Darker, more brutal, violent and ridden with blood!
A new course of action has been taken with The Moonlight Path ALPHA module and the more violent side of the adventure is brought alive for all to see and feel! Oppressive mood and twisted sounds echoes throughout the damp and dismal halls that are filled with mutilated bodies of children and women alike, burnt corpses and hanged men! It is time to unleash the beast that has been in deep slumber for too long a time...

New content and updates:
* New profile page outlook
* 5 Wallpapers uploaded in 1920x1200 resolution
* 2 new music samples by Adam and Marius
* 4 New Interior Design screen shots
* Voice acting sample "Lament of Boromir" by Domien

It's been a long while since any updates occurred here, so it's time to give you something new to feast on with. It's been a hard time for me struggling with the ALPHA stage, for I did encounter new problems with my computer and it messed the whole Toolset and Neverwinter Nights both totally,
so I had to make many things again.

But now that I have won my battles, it's time to get back into the furious vortex of design work for the module and forging the ALPHA stage into a solid piece. We still do lack a coder/script maker, so if anyone has any idea for a valid person to hop in and make the world of Moonlight Path alive, feel free to tell him about it and direct him/her towards me! Otherwise everything is going well both for the design and actual building of the module itself.

I have gotten help from fellow Finnish friends and together it's much easier to think and create thing rather than through the internet. There will be much to be done still, but we are hard working and whipping ourselves towards the solid outcome.

More updates coming along this week, keep a vigilant eye open and wish us luck with our massive endeavor!

Hello and well met, for it's been AGES long since I last made my way here!
As always, I forget this place, but this was such a milestone for the sake of my project, so I had
to force myself to remember and return back here with plentiful news regarding The Moonlight Path story
that indeed has gone into ALPHA-stage production!

It will be an independent story, but has vital relevance to TMP story and players will learn much of what is yet to come.
I will give you another massive update soon enough, hopefully people are still alive in here to see the updates!

Best of regards,
Markus
