I'm not sure if he checks these forums any more, we use the HoS forums.

I'll send him a message on there.  Smiley

I've done over 30 minutes of music for the Heart of Storms project now, and I'd love to get it up on there.  Cool

Thanks for the links Steven, I had no idea that that kind of stuff was out ont the internett going for free. I was just wondering though, how - if it is possible - I can use them in Nuendo. Is it possible to convert them to VST or something?

If you've got allot of cash the best I think is the Vienna Orcestral set is the best for orcestras. But for people like us, Garriton is the best you can get for the cash.

I do agree that it should be possible to raise a child well without hitting them. But you do need some kind of punishment. Like taking away toys or other privilages...

But what the hell do I know, I'm only a kid myself...

To get back onto subject, I'd have to say that I love the simpsons theme!  Cheesy
It's so cool, and catchy! I think that tune will go down in history.

Yeah, great stuff! I can see you're a fan of Jayson's work... Cool
On the hole I liked it allot, but the cutscene music seemed alittle fractured, I understand it's made to fit a cinematic, but you might want to consider smoothening the transitions betwean the verious parts. This might weave the scenes together more, and give it abit more of a cinematic feel...

Keep up the great work!  Smiley

Well I'm about as amature as you can get as far as theory is concerned (I can't even read music) so I just go purely on feeling. Though I think some of my best songs have come from heavy contemplation before I acctually start making the composition on the computer.

For me the only thing that is important in music (or any other form of art) is expression. Your music has to be saying something to he listener - this could merely be expressing an emotion or a mood - otherwise the song can be as teknicly complex and as theoreticly genius as you like, but it won't touch people in any way.
11  Music By Jason Forums / The Round Table / Fav John Williams score... on: November 28, 2005, 02:27:54 AM
Wow, that's difficult. I'm listning to the Jarrasic park theme right now. It really is brilliant.
I think the hole soundtrack has got a really original atmophere. You can allmost hear the sound of dinosours in the sounds of the orchestra... I allso think his tension music is great aswell. Like when the raptors are in the kitchen, and the dementors in Harry Potter.
12  Music By Jason Forums / The Round Table / No John Williams for new Potter ST on: November 25, 2005, 02:54:23 AM
I disagree. Though Williams is as I said a much "better" composer. I don't think his style would suit the the film. It's to extravagant and draws to much attention to its self.
13  Music By Jason Forums / The Round Table / No John Williams for new Potter ST on: November 23, 2005, 02:50:31 AM
Yea it just goes to show, no matter how good a composer you are, it's still a matter of how well the composer suits the project. I'll have to get hold of that soundtrack on CD as soon as I can.

By the way, I loved what Patric did with the theme at the begining of the movie, when the title came up. It sounded like he did something to it to make it sound more moody... Do any of you know what he did?
14  Music By Jason Forums / The Round Table / No John Williams for new Potter ST on: November 22, 2005, 06:23:41 AM
Hi, I just saw the new Potter movie, and thought it was briliant.  Cheesy
It was very obervious from the first musical note of the soundtrack that it was no longer John Williams composing. Though m. Williams is an amazing composer, I acctually prefared Patric Doyle's moody strings.

I just wondered what you guys thought...
