....and all the Jeremy Soule fans - by the way, now that we are
vigorously speaking of music here Grin - , his new OST for Guild Wars:
Eye of the North is released on www.directsong.com !!!
A jewel that one too.
As soon as I get meself some coins, I am to buy that one just like
everyone else from that site Wink

I'm eagerly waiting for the new GW to be released so I can listen to the awesome music in it (and of course, play it too  Cheesy )

It's sad that the forum is deserted. I've had troubles with composing nearly a year, and now that I've got over them there is no mods or anything to which compose to. Dark had his project, but I haven't heard of him since February... Sad

What has happened to the forum? Where is everyone?

Now I've finished a third track for the mod. It's much more cheerful than the other music and it's meant for calm and more relaxed moments in the game: Lathander the Morning Lord. In Faerūn mythology Lathander is the God of Spring, Dawn, Birth, Renewal, Creativity, Youth, Vitality, Self-Perfection and Athletics, his domains are Good, Nobility, Protection, Renewal, Strength, and Sun. He requires his followers to be of Neutral to Good alignment.

Lathander favours those who dispel the undead and aid others. He blesses those who plant new life.

Many followers of Lathander work in various creative arts, such as music, painting, entertaining, and the creation of works of fine art. Lathander is also the god called upon to bless birth and fertility related ceremonies.

You can find the track in Soundclick.com webpage. I haven't add this or the other two tracks for the mod in Sibeliusmusic.com due sheer laziness

(However, I've arranged this piece also for organ and it can be found in SibeliusMusic.com under the title of Andante Cantabile.)

Just curious, have you written any music for this project, Avaronald?

Actually I have! Check my Soundclick webpage if you want to hear. Smiley

Isn't the Symphonic Choirs very complicated to use?

I've been thinking that goblins in music could be somewhat comical and not so tardy as humans and elves tend to be. The music will also be lighter and not so epic... Hmm...

*music starts to play in the mind of the undersigned*

Ha-ha! Got it! Now I just need to get some extra ram and off I go...

It sounds really nice!  Cheesy

Is the choir singing the original rex tremendae-lyrics or have you write your own?

If Melda gives his stamp of approval for this project, I volunteer to compose music for this mod. (And even if he doesn't, I can still compose if you like Tongue ).

I've read about Eberron and I'm a fan of Neverwinter Nights (although I haven't played the game much) and I already have some themes, that could suite the world. If you are interested in listening my earlier compositions, you can visit my Soundclick.com webpage or my SibeliusMusic.com webpage.
If you are interested in 'hiring' me to do music for the mod, I would like to hear more about this mod.

Hi!

Is the mod still alive?

I could try to compose some music for it. Music for goblins sounds challenging...

Well, best of luck with your studies, and if you ever wish to write again, you know you'll have an eager audience here waiting for you.

I'm not completely going to abandon composing, just this mod - as it seems not to be in progress...
In matter of fact, I'm already planning a new work, The Mass for the Fallen, which is a mass based on John Milton's Lost Paradise. It tells the story of angel Lucifer and how he was cast out of Heaven due envy. I am at the moment writing the text for it, but it has some difficulties as I'm not good at Latin and I especially want it to be in Latin...  :?

:!: To my great sorrow, I must tell that I'll stop composing more music for the Black Company Mod  Sad

I've been having difficulties in composing lately and now that I've started my studies (I'll gradute as a chef in two years) I don't have time or inspiration to compose - I haven't even had time to wathc this forum.

BadThrall may use all the music composed for the mod this far as he wishes (if the mod is even alive anymore?).
15  Music By Jason Forums / Game Music Discussion / Ballabile - a good or a bad thing? on: June 24, 2006, 02:41:22 PM
What I mean is that it is a bad thing for a game music track to have a clearly dansable rhythm? What say ye?

Because I have a problem: I'm nearly to finish three more tracks for the Black Company mod, but they all have a clear rhytm, one is a habanera and the other two has waltz; and I mean that they really are waltzes - you could play them in ball...

But does clear dance rhythm suit game music, where the music should blend into the background?  :?
