Hi guys,

As many of you know, I'm not good about posting on the website; sorry about that. But I'm going to be active on Twitter- I'm @JasonHayesMusic.

Feel free to converse with me there, and thanks for visiting here and being so supportive!

Someone got a recording of this live interview that I did over Skype during the recent Video Games Live concert in Austin, Texas on 03/28/09. I was super nervous for 3 hours leading up to it! But what a blast Smiley

You are such a great guy and moderator, and I'm not going to let you take responsibility for the stagnation on the forums. It's really my fault. I got so busy as audio director at Carbine Studios / NCsoft Orange County, in early production on a HUGE online game, and I didn't have any info to share because it's all so darn secret in the game industry. That, and having to put my personal album project on indefinite hold made me a little embarrassed to show my face around these parts Smiley

I'm touched that some of you have stuck around through thick and thin, and I want to let you know that I greatly, greatly appreciate it! It means the world to me. And I'm going to stick around too- even when I can't talk in detail about my game project or other top secret things, I still want to reconnect with everyone here and just touch base on whatever's going on.

So thanks to everyone here, and please accept my sincere apologies for the long absence.

Melda, thank you for inspiring me to keep the forums Smiley

6  Music By Jason Forums / Q & A / A Call To Arms = Jason, Glenn and... Chance Thomas? on: March 03, 2007, 01:15:53 PM
Hey guys, and hey there Chance!

Sorry for my long absence...

The Call to Arms track that is readily available on the web (the one from the E3 trailer and the WoW soundtrack) isn't a live orchestral recording, but Chance is referring to an excerpt that was recorded live in Utah for a short Warcraft III theatrical trailer that appeared in front of movies like LOTR II and others. Chance and I had a great time hanging out in Salt Lake City doing that recording, and his music contracting and music prep assistance were fantastic Smiley

Thank you for pointing that out- I had no idea! I'm going to look into it and see what I can find out. That's pretty cool, at any rate...
8  Music By Jason Forums / My Projects / World of Warcraft Soundtrack on: September 19, 2006, 11:13:55 PM
Hey - I was excited to discover that the WoW soundtrack is now available at Blizzard's online store:

I don't know how long it has been available, so sorry if this is already old news!

I finally have a MySpace page! It took me long enough to learn about MySpace, but at last I'm becoming more hip to the latest trends. Except I'm still using the word hip?!?! Obviously, I still need some help Smiley

Check it out at:

It's still very new so there's not much on there yet, but it'll develop...

13  Music By Jason Forums / My Projects / What I've been up to :) on: February 11, 2006, 09:55:00 PM
First of all, let me apologize for not posting very much lately. I've been busy with my latest project, but I regularly read the forums and I enjoy the discussions that take place here. By the way, I'm not meaning to ignore the questions that get posted - I just need to make a little time to address a few of them each week. This is something I really will try to start doing.

Next, let me tell you a little bit about what I've been up to! I've taken on a position as audio director for NCsoft's brand new game development studio in Southern California. There is an excellent team that I'm working with, and we've started building a huge title that I think you'll be really excited about.

I wish I could say more. But as of now, there's been no formal announcement about our team or our game, so there aren't any specific details I can disclose just yet. Hopefully soon Smiley
