Will there be more music? Will it be better or "worse"(LOL). What theme would you like to hear the most? Blood Elven Theme? The New race for the allience theme? Or the Outland theme? Disccus?

I would love to hear the Blood Elf Theme from Warcraft 3 TFT and possibly some original Warcraft 2 Orc music (?).  The orcs are from Outland (er, Draenor [spelling?]).

I'm guessing that there has been enough new music to issue an album. Burning Crusade's Collector Edition set comes with a soundtrack disc.

I wonder who got the credit for the expansion set music.

FINALLY!

FINALLY we can hear Thalassian texts sung! WOO!

I was looking for ANY evidence of Thalassian (High Elven) texts to use for lyrics in the soundtrack I wrote for the Counterstrike at Quel'Thalas mod . . . and now finally with the almost-release of The Burning Crusade we can hear it used in a really eerie context.

Incidentally, the Blood Elves are called sin'dorei (as High Elves were quel'dorei).

I think the overall tone for Blood Elven music in the expansion will be eerie, sad and mysterious. Which makes sense, since they're a race in decline, doomed by walking the dark path.

Anyway, the music should be cool. Tongue

Hmm . . . as to composers on the project . . .

Jason and Tracy have left Blizzard, I believe . . .

Which leaves . . . Glenn Stafford, Derek Duke, Victor Crews (if he works on the soundtrack), and . . . I think that's all of them, however the name Russell Brower has come to my attention --- not that I know who that is.

Rusel Brower is currently the Audio Director for Blizzard Entertainment with more then 25 years experience under his belt.

Russel Brower have made a remix (Maybe remix will be a bit wrong to say... but it uses melodies from Seasons of War) of the WoW Intro music by Jason Hayes, you know, the one named Seasons of War. It plays at the intro of TBC.
And it is done wonderfully (did I just make up a word?). The intro is great. (And includes some semi latin lyrics for the latin fanatics to dechypher Smiley)
I approve of Russel Brower... to put it that way Tongue

Got a beta key, so now I explore several areas while listening to the BC music. And I SO want the BC soundtrack cause the music is fantastic.
Mostly Russel Brower, Matt Uelmen and Derek Duke that have made the music. Some help from other people as well that has made a few tunes. One name that is mentioned more than once is Brian David Farr.

Went to http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/encyclopedia/576.xml
and http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/info/encyclopedia/361.xml to check out the lyrics on Lament of the Highborne:

Anar'alah
Anar'alah
quel'dorei (?)
sin'dorei
Shindu fallah na!
sin'dorei
Anar'alah
Shindu Shindu re (?)
Shindu fallah na!
sin'dorei

Pretty much the things I can get from it. Real pretty.

That looks pretty much right . . . only thing is that I heard Sindu as Sindo, but that might be just me. Wink
