Set out to write crap.

Really.  See how absolutely horrible you can make a piece of music.  You might surprise yourself.

well, what i do (since it is easy in germany) i ride trains, go and observe people... go thru a filled street and try and think of an individual story based on the people you see....

most of it turns out to be crap though, but diamonds are not more than shiny piesces of carbon....

anyhow... anybody know a translator machine for enbglish to latin? like to write some chorus lines, and latin makes them sound MUCH cooler °-.-

I wouldn't trust an automated translation system for any sensible accuracy, especially for lyrics.

Then again, if you just want it to "sound like it's cool in latin" and it doesn't need to make all that much sense, go for it!

As far as I remember, Jason Hayes wrote the Latin lyrics for the WoW intro movie grammatically wrong - as he himself stated so and laughed at it - so...does it actually matter that much Smiley ?

And Goliath, don't quit composing nor writing music. There are times
when nothing wont just work and so forth...but keep pushing, it will
come out eventually as a good piece of music Wink

Oh don't worry, I'm not qutting...something good actually did come from the crappiness.  Once in a while you have to throw a score in the fire and let the ashes inspire you (?).  Still got a whole life of learning, and both success and failure ahead of me.

One thing to remember, though, is that many pronunciations of Latin words are not what you would expect them to be.  If you're not worrying about grammar, etc, then you probably wouldn't need to worry about the pronunciation, but I know at least with me, when I hear words I know are prononunced wrong, it usually bothers me.  But maybe I'm just a little OCD.  Wink

I can translate a little into Latin, but I've only had a year of it, so far.  PM me if you want me to give it a shot.
