Yep, that's what I've been wondering as much as you have, I'll wager. People just vanished all of the sudden, all of the projects seemed to cease to exist/continue/whatever, and no posts what-so-ever in a long long time... I was practically the only one keeping at least some, small updates on my own project "The Moonlight Path", which Steven found the only active thread on this whole forum anyway... hahah.
This is strange indeed, but let's see if people revive from their graves at some point...., now, I guess it's just me, you, Steven and Sylvain checking these forums even to see the slightest glimbse of life around 'ere Ò_ó ....

Actually I visit this board almost everyday in hopes to see something new. Jason has surely gone quiet since his departure from Blizzard. I think he should give us a heads up every once a while. And by the way... where's that "mosaic" album of original music???

Yep just the three of us it seems In one of his latest interview, Jason was working for the same company that brought us City of Heroes, is that right (NCSoft) ? He couldn't tell about the projet but there had to be a announcement soon... or was there ? Interview is here : http://www.gamespot.com/news/6172231.htmlNo I wonder, did Jason leave Blizzard because he was fed up or because he was willing to start a new project of his own ? Cause working for NCSoft doesn't look like a personnal project (I thought the mosaic album was that very project). Anyway, looks like since Jason left Blizzard, and with the arrival of Russel Brower, the budget for the music department at Blizzard has quite grown, you can notice it with BC music : much more real instruments and live orchestra... If I remember properly, the only chance Jason had was to conduct live choirs. A pity for Jason, a chance for the gamers, but hey, who knows, I didn't heard from Matt Uelmen since Diablo I and II, and there he is credited again for BC, so who knows if Jason might be back on a blizzard project someday. In any case we should consider any of Jason's work as much as we consider his work for Blizz, so, for sure, his contributions to NCSoft will be just wonderful.

I wonder, how come Matt Uelmen isn't doing any Soundtracks for Blizzard as a whole, but contributes only a few songs here and there in the WoW series. Since he is awesome composer - and they even let him use Prague Philharmonics for Diablo II: LoD -, I would love to hear more from him.
I guess Blizzard wants their personal music team together work on most of the titles, former Jason, Glenn, Tracy, Victor and Matt... and then bring in guest appearances like Inon Zur scoring for SC:Ghost.
Oh well, perhaps there will be a full OST from Uelmen someday again =).

And.... weren't mostly people of NCsoft (former?) Diablo II developer team-members? I would recall something like that...

As far as I know, I an interview Russel Brower stated that Matt Uelmen did most of the Outland background music, so that is quite a bit ! People like David Arkenstone indeed composed some tunes only (like he did for Lands of Lore 2), but Matt had a wider contribution there for BC.

And in particular this part :
Russell Brower: "Each composer took on a given section of the game, although there were several collaborations, as blood elven and draenei bases both appear in Outland, for instance. In broad terms, Derek wrote for the draenei, part of Caverns of Time, and the new battle music; Matt wrote almost all of the Outland tracks; Neal wrote the opening cinematic score; David created new music for the taverns and inns that dot all of Azeroth; Brian wrote some pieces for Ghostlands; and I handled the blood elves, Caverns of Time, main titles, and others. There are countless other areas, but these are the largest bodies of work."

I own it and I must say this CD is wonderful, whole the tracks are blending alltogether with background sounds just like if you were in a live concert in the Outland or... I don't know, just wonderful. And that new versions of the "Taverns" tune is awesome.

Hehe, the OST sure is wonderful, my friend got the Collector's Edition with the BC OST in it, and I couldn't but lend it over to myself, since I knew it would be nothing short of awesomeness ....and all the Jeremy Soule fans - by the way, now that we are vigorously speaking of music here - , his new OST for Guild Wars: Eye of the North is released on www.directsong.com !!! A jewel that one too. As soon as I get meself some coins, I am to buy that one just like everyone else from that site
