Hello, I'm new in here. To be honest, I've seen the forum a lot of times, but finally I decided to register. I am from Perú, and I play World Of Warcraft. I really had to ask something: Jason, are you coming back to WoW? It is definetly not the same without you  Cry

It's not that the new WoW music is bad, it's just that compared to what you did, it's nothing... I haven't heard any other music in WoW recently that can be compared to The Shaping Of The World, Song Of Elune, A Call To Arms, Ironforge, Thunder Bluff or Stormwind... and many others that are just to good to describe with words.

While I can't speak for Jason, I would doubt he will be returning to the World of WarCraft franchise.

My rationale? Blizzard tend to only use music composed by their own on-staff composers, and Jason left Blizzard's employment a few years ago.

That tells me unless Jason returned to Blizzard's employment (doubtful, since he's already busy as it is), we won't be hearing any more World of WarCraft music by Jason.

Of course, I could be wrong . . . but I think this logic is sound.

So in short: unfortunately, I doubt it.

Just curious, why did he leave Blizzard?

I'm not sure of his reasons exactly, but I think he wanted to do some self-directed, independent work.

I hope everything works out fine then  Wink

Still, an impressive loss for WoW, the music is one of the main aspects of the game, and Jason is the best, no doubt. His music for Warcraft III and the first World Of Warcraft release cannot be matched. I've played WoW since 2004, and I can tell you, it is not the same  Cry
