Hey,
my name is Phil Rey, i'm a french composer for movies, video games, liveshows...
(it's a "strange" thing to post that kind of message on Jason forum - Thank you Jason ;o)

Update - 2011 may - My new demo reel for video games :
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX7zR4cSxRc

Here are some of my last projects and/or WIP :

"Sky Invader" - developed by Clement Willlay.
"Verdun Online" - developed by M2H Studios
"Blork" (for IPhone) - developed by Supinfogame
"Praetorian Defiance" - developed by Flaming Brain Studios

I am also very pleased to announce my recent participation in the adventure  "Sintel - The Game".

(inspired by the film "Sintel")

...and many other things you can hear on my website - Google translate at footpage
(you can also listen to my Demo 2009)

Let me know your plans, I would be happy to collaborate to your game.
(for volounteers or professionnels works)

Best regards,

Phil
Ho ! And here are 3 compilations of 22 songs (each) from games and / or film (or unpublished!) in which I participated this year.

Good luck!  Cheesy

Some news :
I had already met Seb (Sébastien Bonnet) on another project (Praetorian Defiance) still ongoing, and his graphics (his talent!) already seduced me. When he started this mod for Unreal Tournament 3 (Hellzauber), and asked me to participate, I did not have to think long!
In short, still a good opportunity to throw myself headlong into a musical world that I love...

The link didn't work for me. It resolved to "http://"http//soundcloud.com/phreymusic/prince-of-europa%22".

The link should be "http://soundcloud.com/phreymusic/prince-of-europa"

While I know you probably don't want to hear 'oh, this reminds me of so-and-so music', the melodic line reminds me of Tides of Darkness by Glenn Stafford to a degree. Smiley

Very exciting track. The only feedback I have is towards the beginning and end of the piece where the cymbals are smashed repeately it sounds like they need something. I'm not sure if the attacks need to be varied or something, but the thought that comes to mind is that it almost sounds like the same recording of a cymbal smash being repeated instead of the more organic sound of cymbals being smashed over and over again, which would have a bit more variation to how they are hit (note: I'm not saying that their rhythmic structure should be changed, just perhaps the intensity of the sounds to be varied).

Anyway, hopefully that helps at all. If it doesn't, my apologies. Smiley

Hey,
after 5 years, the film is finally out. I thought it could be a good idea to share this great adventure with you. Mickael Cawood (director) ask me a few words (english subtitles) about my experience as a composer for the film (you will also find a list of all the sounds used in the soundtrack in the video).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=lYEbDIX3guc

Directed by Michael Cawood, this computer animated short film is the work of a worldwide team of Artists and Animators. Entirely developed in the public eye online, it has also become a fantastic resource for Animation students and professionals alike.

More information and expanded credits on the Director's website:
http://MichaelCawood.com/CGShort.htm
